Scott Poynter, is a distinguished co-founder and Partner at Poynter Law Group in Little Rock, AR. His storied legal career includes positions of leadership over one hundred class actions and multi-district litigation throughout the United States. 

With roots in Mountain Home, Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arkansas Tech University before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. 

He began his legal practice through service within the Judge Advocate General (“JAG”) Department of the U.S. Air Force. Scott’s early legal prowess earned him a spot in the Air Force's prestigious Advanced Trial Advocacy Course, setting a precedent for his future as a litigator. In all, Scott was involved in more than fifty criminal prosecutions, and he also defended airman facing court martial. Scott served our Country during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield, and served six years on active duty and another seven years in the Reserves and Air National Guard and attained the rank of Major. 

Throughout his career, Scott has been at the forefront of significant legal battles, including major agricultural lawsuits such as the Syngenta AG MIR162 Corn Litigation and the LLRICE 601 Genetically Modified Rice case, which collectively recovered over a billion dollars for American farmers.
